Which animals may be killed while in Ihram?
Hadith 313
224- وبه: أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: ”خمس من الدواب ليس على المحرم فى قتلهن جناح: الغراب والحدأة والعقرب والفأرة والكلب العقور.“
And with the same chain of narration (from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with them), it is narrated that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "There is no harm in killing five creatures while in the state of ihram: the crow, the kite, the scorpion, the mouse, and the biting dog."
Hadith 314
286- وبه: أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: ”خمس من الدواب من قتلهن وهو محرم فلا جناح عليه: العقرب والفأرة والكلب العقور والحدأة والغراب.“
And with the same chain of narration (from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both), it is narrated that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "There is no harm in killing five creatures while in the state of ihram: the scorpion, the mouse, the biting dog, the kite, and the crow."
