Explanation of Laylat al-Qadr
Hadith 270
148- وبه قال: خرج علينا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فى رمضان فقال: ”إني أريت هذه الليلة حتى تلاحى رجلان فرفعت، فالتمسوها فى التاسعة والسابعة والخامسة.“
And with this chain (it is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him) that in Ramadan, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came to us and said: "Tonight (Laylat al-Qadr) was shown to me, until two men argued and it was taken away, so seek it in the ninth, seventh, and fifth (nights)."
Hadith 271
210- وبه: أن رجالا من أصحاب رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أروا ليلة القدر فى المنام فى السبع الأواخر، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ”إني أرى رؤياكم قد تواطأت فى السبع الأواخر، فمن كان متحريها فليتحرها فى السبع الأواخر.“
And with this same chain (it is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both) that some people among the companions of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, saw in their dreams that Laylat al-Qadr is in the last seven nights (of Ramadan). So the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "I see that your dreams are in agreement with one another that Laylat al-Qadr is in the last seven nights, so whoever wants to seek it should seek it in the last seven nights."
Hadith 272
283- وبه: أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: ”تحروا ليلة القدر فى السبع الأواخر .“
And with this chain (it is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Seek Laylat al-Qadr in the last seven nights."
