Virtue of Fasting
Hadith 246
342- وبه: أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: ”الصيام جنة، فإذا كان أحدكم صائما فلا يرفث ولا يجهل، فإن امرؤ قاتله أو شاتمه فليقل: إني صائم، إني صائم.“
And with this chain (it is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Huraira, may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Fasting is a shield, so if any of you is fasting, he should neither utter obscene words nor speak ignorantly. If someone fights with him or abuses him, he should say, 'I am fasting, I am fasting.'"
