Virtue of one whose three or two children die
Hadith 239
15- وبه: أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: ”لا يموت لأحد من المسلمين ثلاثة من الولد فتمسه النار إلا تحلة القسم.“
And with the same chain of narration, it is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever among the Muslims has three children die, the (Hell) fire will not touch him except to fulfill an oath."
Hadith 240
94- مالك عن محمد بن أبى بكر بن محمد بن عمرو بن حزم عن أبيه عن أبى النضر السلمي أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: ”لا يموت لأحد من المسلمين ثلاثة من الولد فيحتسبهم إلا كانوا له جنة من النار.“ فقالت: امرأة عند رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: يا رسول الله، أو اثنان. قال: ”أو اثنان.“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu al-Nadr al-Sami, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "If any Muslim loses three children and remains patient, hoping for reward from Allah, then these children become a shield, that is, a barrier for him from Hell." A woman who was with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "O Messenger of Allah! And if two (children die)?" He, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "And if two (children die, they also become a shield from Hell)."
