Praying sitting earns half the reward

Hadith 196
112- مالك عن إسماعيل بن محمد بن سعد بن أبى وقاص عن مولى لعمرو بن العاص أو لعبد الله بن عمرو عن عبد الله بن عمرو بن العاص أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: ”صلاة أحدكم وهو قاعد مثل نصف صلاته وهو قائم.“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) that indeed the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The one among you who performs (optional) prayer while sitting receives half the reward compared to the one who performs (optional) prayer while standing."

Hadith Takhrij «112- الموطأ (رواية يحييٰ بن يحييٰ 136/1 ح 305 ، ك 8 ب 6 ح 19) التمهيد 131/1 ، الاستذكار : 375 ، و أخرجه الجوهري فى مسند الموطأ (271) من حديث مالك به وفيه علة وللحديث شاهد صحيح فى صحيح مسلم (735) وبه صح الحديث والحمدلله.»
