Hadith 176
400- مالك عن عمرو بن يحيى المازني عن أبى الحباب سعيد بن يسار عن ابن عمر أنه قال: رأيت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يصلي وهو على حمار وهو موجه إلى خيبر.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sitting on a donkey, facing towards Khaybar, performing prayer.
Hadith 177
522- مالك عن أبى بكر بن عمر بن عبد الرحمن بن عبد الله بن عمر بن الخطاب رضى الله عنه عن سعيد بن يسار أنه قال: كنت أسير مع عبد الله بن عمر بطريق مكة، قال سعيد: فلما خشيت الصبح نزلت فأوترت ثم أدركته، فقال لي عبد الله بن عمر: أين كنت؟ فقلت: خشيت الفجر فنزلت فأوترت، فقال: أليس لك فى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أسوة حسنة؟ فقلت: بلى والله؛ قال: فإن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم كان يوتر على البعير.
It is narrated from Sa'id bin Yasar (may Allah have mercy on him) that I was traveling with Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) on the road to Makkah. When I feared the coming of morning, I dismounted and performed Witr, then joined him. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) asked me: Where were you? I said: I feared the coming of morning, so I dismounted and performed Witr. He said: Is there not for you the best example in the life of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)? I said: Why not, by Allah! Certainly there is. He said: Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform Witr on his camel.
