Muwatta Imam Malik (Riwayat Ibn al-Qasim)

It is narrated from Al-Ala bin Abdur Rahman (bin Yaqub) that we went to Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) after the Zuhr (prayer), and he stood up and started performing the Asr prayer. Then, when he finished his prayer, we mentioned, or he himself mentioned, the hastening of the prayer. Then he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: That is the prayer of the hypocrites, that is the prayer of the hypocrites, that is the prayer of the hypocrites. Each one of them sits until, when the sun becomes yellow and reaches between the two horns of Satan, he stands up and pecks out four (units of prayer) in which he remembers Allah very little.
