Hadith 81
498- وعن عمرة ابنة عبد الرحمن بن سعد بن زرارة الأنصاري أنها أخبرته عن حبيبة بنت سهل الأنصارية أنها كانت تحت ثابت بن قيس بن شماس، وأن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم خرج إلى الصبح فوجد حبيبة بنت سهل عند بابه فى الغلس، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ”من هذه؟“ فقالت: أنا حبيبة بنت سهل، فقال: ”ما شأنك؟“ فقالت: لا أنا ولا ثابت ابن قيس لزوجها. فلما جاء ثابت بن قيس قال له رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ”هذه حبيبة بنت سهل، قد ذكرت ما شاء الله أن تذكر“ ؛ فقالت حبيبة: يا رسول الله، كل ما أعطاني فهو عندي، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم لثابت ”خذ منها“ فأخذ منها، وجلست فى أهلها.
It is narrated from Sayyida Habiba bint Sahl al-Ansariyya (may Allah be pleased with her) that she was married to Sayyiduna Thabit bin Qais bin Shamas (may Allah be pleased with him). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) went out for the morning (Fajr) prayer and found Habiba bint Sahl (may Allah be pleased with her) at her door in the darkness. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Who is this?" She said: "I am Habiba bint Sahl." He asked: "What is the matter?" She said: "I and Thabit bin Qais cannot live together." Thabit bin Qais was her husband. Then when Thabit bin Qais (may Allah be pleased with him) came, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "Habiba bint Sahl has mentioned what Allah willed." Then Habiba said: "O Messenger of Allah! Whatever he gave me is all with me." So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him): "Take it from her." So he took it from her (and gave her one divorce), and Habiba sat in her house (to complete her waiting period).
