Hadith 622
159- مالك عن ربيعة بن أبى عبد الرحمن عن أنس بن مالك أنه سمعه يقول: كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ليس بالطويل البائن ولا بالقصير، وليس بالأبيض الأمهق وليس بالآدم، وليس بالجعد القطط ولا بالسبط بعثه الله على رأس أربعين سنة، فأقام بمكة عشر سنين وبالمدينة عشر سنين، وتوفاه الله على رأس ستين سنة، وليس فى رأسه ولحيته عشرون شعرة بيضاء صلى الله عليه وسلم. قال مالك: الأمهق: الأبيض. قال أبو الحسن: يريد الشديد البياض.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was neither very tall nor very short, nor was he completely straight. At the age of forty, Allah appointed him (made him a Prophet). He stayed in Makkah for ten (and three) years and stayed in Madinah for ten years. Allah caused him, peace and blessings be upon him, to pass away at the age of sixty (and three) years. There were not even twenty white hairs in his head and beard. Malik said: "Al-Amahq" refers to white. Abu al-Hasan (al-Qabisi) said: By this is meant to be very white.
