Hadith 53

321- وبه: أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: ”لولا أن أشق على الناس أو على المؤمنين لأمرتهم بالسواك“ .

And with the same chain of narration, it is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "If I did not fear hardship for the people or for the believers, I would have certainly commanded them to use the tooth-stick (miswak)."
