Hadith 492

157- وبه: عن أبى هريرة: أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أرخص فى بيع العرايا بخرصها فيما دون خمسة أوسق؛ أو فى خمسة أوسق شك داود فى خمسة أو دون خمسة.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) permitted the sale of dates or grapes on the trees by estimation («عَريهّ»), provided that it is five wasqs or less; regarding five wasqs or less, Dawud (bin al-Husayn, the narrator) is in doubt.
