444- وبه: أن رجلا من أسلم قال: ما نمت هذه الليلة، فقال له رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ”من أى شيء؟“ فقال: لدغتني عقرب، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ”أما إنك لو قلت حين أمسيت: أعوذ بكلمات الله التامات من شر ما خلق، لم تضرك إن شاء الله.“
It is narrated from a man of the Aslam tribe that one night I could not sleep, so the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said: "For what reason?" He said: I was bitten by a bed creature. So the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said: "If you had recited in the evening «أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ» 'I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created,' then, insha'Allah, nothing would have harmed you."

[وأخرجه أحمد 375/2، والبخاري فى خلق افعال العباد 58، والنسائي السنن الكبريٰ : 10425، عمل اليوم والليلة : 589، من حديث مالك به ورواه مسلم 2709/55، من حديث ابي صالح به نحو المعنيٰ]
Jurisprudential Explanation:
➊ The «أعوذ بكلمات الله التامات من شر ما خلق» holds great importance among the morning and evening supplications, because by reciting it, Allah, the Exalted, protects one from tribulations, calamities, and especially from the harm of stinging creatures. InshaAllah.
➋ One should keep oneself engaged abundantly in the prescribed (masnun) supplications.
➌ Only Allah is the remover of difficulties.
➍ Acting upon the Qur’an and Hadith is the means to success in both worlds.
