Men Are Forbidden Silk, Yellow Clothes, and Gold Rings
Hadith 413
261- مالك عن نافع عن إبراهيم بن عبد الله بن حنين عن أبيه عن على بن أبى طالب أنه قال: نهاني رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عن لبس القسي والمعصفر، وعن تختم الذهب، وعن القراءة فى الركوع. قال أبو الحسن: هذا لفظ كتاب الجامع، وفي كتاب الصلاة أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم نهى عن لبس القسي، وقال فيه: وعن قراءة القرآن فى الركوع.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade me from (wearing) silk garments, clothes dyed with yellow color, wearing a gold ring, and from reciting (the Qur’an) in bowing (i.e., reciting the Qur’an during ruku‘). Abu’l-Hasan (al-Qabisi) said: These are the words from the Book al-Jami‘, and in the Book of Salah it is stated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade wearing silk garments, and in it is also that he forbade reciting the Qur’an in bowing.
