And with the same chain of narration (from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both), it is narrated that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever drinks wine in this world and does not repent from it, will be deprived of it (i.e., the pure wine) in the Hereafter."

Hadith Authentication:[وأخرجه البخاري 5575، ومسلم 76/2003، من حديث مالك به] Jurisprudential Points: ➊ Alcohol is forbidden, and drinking alcohol is a major sin. ➋ If a person sincerely repents with a true heart, then Allah, the Exalted, out of His grace and mercy, forgives his sin. ➌ There is consensus among the scholars that if a drinker does not repent, he is a transgressor (fasiq), and his testimony is rejected. ➍ In one hadith, it is stated that the prayers of a person from the Ummah who drinks alcohol are not accepted for forty days. Beware of alcohol, for it is the mother of all evils. Among those before you, there was a man who used to worship and keep away from people. Then such an incident occurred (the summary of which is that he was presented with two options: either commit adultery, kill a child, or drink alcohol. He chose to drink alcohol. After drinking, he committed adultery with the woman and also killed the child). Avoid alcohol, for by Allah! It and faith cannot coexist. Either alcohol expels faith, or faith expels alcohol. 288] ➏ Sayyiduna Ibn Umar radi Allahu anhu said: Whoever drinks alcohol, even if he does not become intoxicated, his prayer is not accepted as long as the effect of alcohol remains in his veins or stomach, and if he dies in that state, he dies as a disbeliever (i.e., as an ungrateful one). al-kh
