Earth is a means of purification
Hadith 38
95- مالك عن محمد بن عمارة عن محمد بن إبراهيم عن أم ولد لإبراهيم ابن عبد الرحمن بن عوف أنها سألت أم سلمة أم المؤمنين فقالت: إني امرأة أطيل ذيلي وأمشي فى المكان القذر. فقالت أم سلمة: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ”يطهره ما بعده“ .
The mother of the children of Ibrahim ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf, that is, his slave woman, narrates that she asked Umm al-Mu'minin Sayyida Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her): "I am a woman who keeps her garment long, and sometimes I pass through an impure place.?" So Sayyida Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her) replied: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is purified by what comes after it (of the earth)."
