Hadith 371

232- وبه: أن رجلا لاعن امرأته فى زمن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وانتفى من ولدها، ففرق رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بينهما وألحق الولد بالمرأة.
And with the same chain of narration (it is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both) that during the time of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, a man performed li'an with his wife, then denied being the father of the woman's child. So the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, separated the two and handed the child over to the mother, meaning the child was attributed to the mother.
