It is narrated from a man of Banu Dumrah, who reports from his father, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was asked about 'Aqiqah. He, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "I do not like 'uquq (disobedience to parents)," as if he disliked the name itself, and said: "Whoever has a son (or daughter) born to him and wishes to offer a sacrifice on behalf of his child, let him do so." The narrations reported by Zayd ibn Aslam are now complete; these are twenty-two hadiths.
