One should slaughter the sacrificial animal with one's own hand
Hadith 346
145- وبه: أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم نحر بعض هديه بيده ونحر غيره بعضه.
And with the same chain of narration, it is narrated from (Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah al-Ansari, may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, slaughtered some of his sacrificial animals with his own hand, and some of his animals were slaughtered by others.
