And it is narrated from the wife of the Prophet, Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned Safiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her), so it was said: She has been afflicted with menstruation. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Perhaps she will hold us back (from travel)?" The people said: She has already performed the (Ifadah and Ziyarah) Tawaf. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then there is no problem." Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: And we used to mention this matter, that if sending the women ahead is not beneficial, then why do people send their women? If it is as they say (that staying for the Farewell Tawaf is necessary), then in Mina there would be more than six thousand women (waiting for the Farewell Tawaf) in a state of menstruation, all of whom have already performed the Tawaf Ifadah.
