If a woman going for Hajj gives birth...

389- وبه: عن أبيه عن أسماء بنت عميس أنها ولدت محمد بن أبى بكر بالبيداء، فذكر ذلك أبو بكر لرسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فقال: ”مرها فلتغتسل ثم لتهل.“
And with the same chain of narration, it is narrated from Sayyida Asma bint Umais (may Allah be pleased with her) that at the place of Bayda, her son Muhammad bin Abi Bakr was born. So Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) mentioned this to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace be upon him) said: "Tell her to perform ghusl (ritual bath), then begin the Talbiyah."

[وأخرجه النسائي 127/5 ح 2664 من حديث عبد الرحمن بن القاسم عن مالك به ورواه مسلم 1209/109، من حديث عبدالرحمن بن القاسم عن أبيه عن عائشه به]
Jurisprudential Explanation:
➊ A woman who gives birth while intending to go for Hajj should perform a ritual bath (ghusl) and begin her journey, and she does not need to wait for forty days.
➋ This hadith indicates that Muhammad bin Abi Bakr radi Allahu anhu was a Companion (Sahabi).
➌ Taking a ritual bath (ghusl) before entering the state of ihram is Sunnah.
