Issues of Funeral Prayer
The deceased is shown his place morning and evening
Hadith 229
207- وبه: أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: ”إن أحدكم إذا مات عرض عليه مقعده بالغداة والعشي، إن كان من أهل الجنة فمن أهل الجنة، وإن كان من أهل النار فمن أهل النار، يقال له: هذا مقعدك حتى يبعثك الله إليه يوم القيامة.“
And with this same chain (it is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "When any one of you dies, his place is shown to him morning and evening; if he is among the people of Paradise, then his place in Paradise is shown to him, and if he is among the people of Hell, then his place in Hell is shown to him, and it is said to him: When Allah raises you again on the Day of Resurrection, this will be your abode."
