Reciting Surahs Like At-Tin in Isha Prayer Is Recommended

487- مالك عن يحيى بن سعيد عن عدي بن ثابت الأنصاري عن البراء بن عازب أنه قال: صليت مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم العتمة، فقرأ بها بالتين والزيتون.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Bara’ bin ‘Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) that I offered the ‘Isha prayer with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he recited «والتين و الزيتون» (Surah) in it.

Takhrij al-Hadith:
[وأخرجه النسائي 173/2 ح 1001، من حديث مالك به ورواه مسلم 464/176، من حديث يحيي بن سعيد الانصاري به وروه البخاري 767، من حديث عدي بن ثابت به]
Jurisprudential Points:
➊ It is better to recite the prescribed (masnun) recitation in prayer.
➋ In the ‘Isha prayer, reciting other surahs is also established, for example, Surah Al-Inshiqaq and others.
➌ Compared to other prayers, shorter surahs should be recited in the ‘Isha prayer.
