What to Do If One Forgets in Prayer

Hadith 133

24- وبه: أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: ”إن أحدكم إذا قام يصلي جاءه الشيطان فلبس عليه حتى لا يدري كم صلى، فإذا وجد ذلك أحدكم فليسجد سجدتين وهو جالس.“
And with this same chain of narration, it is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When any one of you is praying, Satan comes to him and casts doubt and suspicion about his prayer until he does not know how much he has prayed. If any one of you finds himself in such a state, then while sitting (at the end of the final Tashahhud), he should perform two prostrations."
