One should come calmly to join the congregation
Hadith 109
135- مالك عن العلاء بن عبد الرحمن عن أبيه وإسحاق بن عبد الله أنهما سمعا أبا هريرة يقول: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ”إذا ثوب بالصلاة فلا تأتوها وأنتم تسعون، وأتوها وعليكم السكينة، فما أدركتم فصلوا وما فاتكم فأتموا، فإن أحدكم فى صلاة ما كان يعمد إلى الصلاة.“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When the iqamah for prayer is called, do not come running, but come with calmness. Then, whatever (part of the prayer) you catch, perform it, and whatever you miss, complete it (afterwards), because whoever intends to go for prayer is already considered to be in prayer."
