Abdullah bin Abu Bakr bin Hazm said: A hadith was presented before Umar bin Abdul Aziz which was narrated by Muhammad bin Thabit bin Sharhabil, so he sent a message to my father to ask Muhammad bin Thabit about this hadith and inform him, as he is a good man. When my father asked him, I was also present there. Muhammad bin Thabit narrated to us from Abdullah bin Yazid Khatmi, who said: It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should honor his guest, and whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should honor his neighbor, and whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should not enter the bathhouse without a waist-wrapper, and any woman among you who believes in Allah and the Last Day should not enter the bathhouse." Abdullah bin Abu Bakr narrated: My father wrote this hadith and sent it to Umar bin Abdul Aziz (may Allah have mercy on him), so he imposed a ban on women entering the bathhouse.
