Hadith 91
حَدَّثَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ يَحْيَى الرَّقِّيُّ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَعْيَنَ ، عَنْ مَعْقِلِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْلَةَ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، حَدَّثَنِي الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سَبْرَةَ الْجُهَنِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنِ الْمُتْعَةِ ، وَقَالَ : " أَلا إِنَّهَا حَرَامٌ مِنْ يَوْمِكُمْ هَذَا إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ ، وَمَنْ كَانَ أَعْطَى شَيْئًا فَلا يَأْخُذْهُ " .
It is narrated from Sabrah Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade (temporary) marriage (mut‘ah) and said: "Beware! This (mut‘ah) is forbidden for you from this day of yours until the Day of Resurrection. And whoever has given anything should not take it back."
