Hadith 83
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ الْبَزَّارُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الأُوَيْسِيُّ ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ الأَزْرَقُ بْنُ أَبِي قَيْسٍ ، عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " رَحِمَ اللَّهُ حَارِسَ الْحَرَسِ ، قَالَهَا ثَلاثَ مَرَّاتٍ ، الَّذِينَ يَكُونُونَ بَيْنَ الرُّومِ وَبَيْنَ عَسْكَرِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ ، يَنْظُرُونَ لَهُمْ وَيُحَذِّرُونَهُمْ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "May Allah have mercy on those who guard (the army)." He said this three times. Those who are between the Roman and Muslim armies will look after the Muslims and keep the disbelievers frightened.
