Hadith 80
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَرْزُوقِ بْنِ الْبُهْلُولِ الْبَاهِلِيُّ ، وَمُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مَعْمَرٍ ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الأَنْصَارِيُّ ، أَخْبَرَنِي الأَسْوَدُ بْنُ الْعَلاءِ ، حَدَّثَنِي مَوْلَى سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ أَرْسَلَ إِلَيْهِ عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ، فَقَالَ : كَيْفَ الْحَدِيثُ الَّذِي حَدَّثْتَنِي عَنِ الصُّنَابِحِيِّ ؟ قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي الصُّنَابِحِيُّ ، أَنَّهُ أَتَى عَمْرَو بْنَ عَبَسَةَ ، قَالَ : هَلْ مِنْ حَدِيثٍ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لا زِيَادَةَ فِيهِ وَلا نُقْصَانَ ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " مَنْ أَعْتَقَ رَقَبَةً أَعْتَقَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى بِكُلِّ عُضْو مِنْهَا عُضْوًا مِنْهُ مِنَ النَّارِ ، وَمَنْ رَمَى بِسَهْمٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ بَلَغَ أَوْ قَصَّرَ كَانَ عَدْلَ رَقَبَةٍ ، وَمَنْ شَابَ شَيْبَةً فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى كَانَتْ لَهُ نُورًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
Sulaiman bin Abdul Malik narrated from a man that Amir al-Mu'minin Umar bin Abdul Aziz, may Allah have mercy on him, sent him a message and said: How is that hadith which you narrated to me from Sanasaji? He said, he informed me that he came to Amr bin Abasah, may Allah be pleased with him, and said, Is there any narration from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, without any addition or omission? So he said, Yes, I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "Whoever frees a slave, Allah Almighty will free all his limbs from Hell in exchange for every limb (joint) of that slave, and whoever shoots an arrow in the way of Allah, whether it reaches the enemy or not, it is equal to freeing a slave, and whoever turns his hair white in the way of Allah, it will be light (illumination) for him on the Day of Resurrection."
