Hadith 41
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُوسَى الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، ثَنَا مُعَنُ بْنُ عِيسَى، ثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «أَيُّمَا رَجُلٍ أَفْلَسَ، فَأَدْرَكَ رَجُلٌ مَالَهُ عِنْدَهُ، فَهُوَ أَحَقُّ بِهِ مِنْ غَيْرِهِ.»
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If a man becomes insolvent, and the creditor finds his property with him in its original form, then he is more entitled to it than others.
