Hadith 37
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِذَا أَفْلَسَ الرَّجُلُ فَوَجَدَ رَجُلٌ سِلْعَتَهُ بِعَيْنِهَا ، فَهُوَ أَحَقُّ بِهَا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a man becomes insolvent and the creditor finds his goods with him in their original form, then he has a greater right to them."
