Hadith 20
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو تَقِيٍّ هِشَامُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، عَنِ الزُّبَيْدِيِّ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ أَخْبَرَهُ ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ قَارِظٍ الزُّهْرِيَّ أَخْبَرَهُ ، أَنَّهُ رَأَى أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَتَوَضَّأُ عَلَى ظَهْرِ الْمَسْجِدِ : فَقَالَ : أَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ أَثْوَارِ أَقِطٍ أَكَلْتُهَا ، وَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " تَوَضَّئُوا مِمَّا مَسَّتِ النَّارُ " .
Abdullah bin Ibrahim Zahri narrated, he saw Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) performing ablution on the roof of the mosque, so Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I performed ablution because I ate a piece of cheese, and I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying, "Perform ablution after eating something cooked on fire."
