Hadith 9
حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الأَزْرَقُ ، نا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ مُضَرَ الْمِصْرِيِّ ، عَنْ صَخْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمُدْلِجِيِّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ يُحَدِّثُ , عَنْ عَيَّاشِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبِيعَةَ الْمَخْزُومِيِّ ، قَالَ : بَيْنَمَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي يَوْمًا بِأَصْحَابِهِ إِذْ مَرَّ بَيْنَ أَيْدِينَا حِمَارٌ ، فَقَالَ عَيَّاشٌ : سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " أَيُّكُمْ سَبَّحَ ؟ " ، قَالَ عَيَّاشٌ : أَنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، سَمِعْتُ أَنَّ الْحِمَارَ يَقْطَعُ الصَّلاةَ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لا يَقْطَعُ الصَّلاةَ شَيْءٌ " .
It is narrated from Ayyash bin Abi Rabi’ah Makhzumi, he said: One day, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) led his companions in prayer, and a donkey passed in front of us (during the prayer). So Ayyash said «سبحان الله». When the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) finished the prayer with salam, he asked: Who among you «سبحان الله» did this? Ayyash said: O Messenger of Allah! I did, and I have heard that the prayer is broken if a donkey passes in front. Upon this, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: The prayer is not broken by anything passing in front.
