حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ دُحَيْمٌ ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ شَابُورَ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ النَّصْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُهَاجِرٍ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا هَلَكَتْ أُمَّةٌ قَطُّ إِلا بِالشِّرْكِ ، وَمَا كَانَ بَدْءُ شِرْكِهَا إِلا التَّكْذِيبَ بِالْقَدَرِ " .
Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Every nation that was destroyed, was destroyed because of shirk, and the beginning of their shirk was the denial of predestination (qadar).
