حَدَّثَنَا مَكِّيُّ بْنُ مُدْرِكٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ مَعْمَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ , أنا زَيْدُ بْنُ حِبَّانَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ قَاصِّ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ لِي عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، اخْرُجْ إِلَى هَؤُلاءِ الْقَوْمِ الَّذِينَ يَؤُمُّونَ النَّاسَ فِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ ، فَمُرْهُمْ يَسْجُدُوا فِي الْجُمُعَةِ ب إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ ، وَ اقْرَأْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ ، فَإِنَّ ابْنًا لِعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ حَدَّثَنِي ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ " سَجَدَ فِيهَا " .
Muhammad bin Qais narrated: Umar bin Abdul Aziz, may Allah have mercy on him, said to me: Go to those people who lead the people in prayer during Ramadan, and command them to perform prostration (sajdah) in Surah Inshiqaq and Surah A'la during the Friday prayer. The son of Abdur Rahman bin Awf, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated to me a hadith from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that he performed prostration in them.
