Musnad Umar Abdul Aziz

Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: Jibreel (peace be upon him) came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) after the sun had declined and said: Stand up and lead the Zuhr prayer of four rak‘ahs. Then, when the shadow of everything became equal to its length, he came and said: Stand up and lead the Asr prayer of four rak‘ahs. Then, when the sun had set, he came and said: Stand up and perform the Maghrib prayer. Then, when the redness disappeared, he came and said: Stand up and lead the ‘Isha prayer of four rak‘ahs. Then he came when the dawn had become bright and said: Stand up and perform the Fajr prayer of two rak‘ahs. Then, on the next day, when the shadow of everything had become equal to its length, he came and said: Perform the Zuhr prayer of four rak‘ahs. Then, when the shadow of everything became twice its length, he came and said: Perform the Asr prayer of four rak‘ahs. Then he came at the same first time when the sun had set, and you performed the Maghrib prayer. Then, after the redness disappeared and it became quite dark, he came and led the ‘Isha prayer. Then he came when the dawn had become bright and led the Fajr prayer of two rak‘ahs. Then Jibreel (peace be upon him) said: The times of the prayers are between these two times.
