حَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أنا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، أَن عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ قَارِظٍ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ وَهُوَ فَوْقَ الْمَسْجِدِ يَتَوَضَّأُ ، فَقَالَ : أَتَدْرِي مِمَّا أَتَوَضَّأُ ؟ مِنْ أَثْوَارِ أَقِطٍ أَكَلْتُهَا ، إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " تَوَضَّئُوا مِمَّا مَسَّتِ النَّارُ " ، وَكَانَ الزُّهْرِيُّ يَتَوَضَّأُ مِمَّا غَيَّرَتِ النَّارُ .
Abd bin Ibrahim Zahri (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated, I saw Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) performing ablution on top of the mosque, so he was asked: Do you know why I am performing ablution? I have eaten pieces of cheese, I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Perform ablution after eating something cooked on fire." Imam Zahri (may Allah have mercy on him) used to perform ablution after eating something cooked on fire.
