Cases where blood money is not due and buried treasure explained
Hadith 901
أَخْبَرَنَا النَّضْرُ، نا شُعْبَةُ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: الْعَجْمَاءُ جَرْحُهَا جُبَارٌ، وَالْبِئْرُ جُبَارٌ، وَالْمَعْدِنُ جُبَارٌ، وَفِي الرِّكَازِ الْخُمُسُ.
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If livestock injure someone, there is no blood money for them; if someone falls into a well, there is no blood money; if someone falls into a mine, there is no blood money; and there is a fifth share in buried treasure."
Hadith 902
أَخْبَرَنَا النَّضْرُ، نا عَوْفٌ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((الْعَجْمَاءُ جُبَارٌ وَالْبِئْرُ جُبَارٌ وَالْمَعْدِنُ جُبَارٌ وَفِي الرِّكَازِ الْخُمْسُ)). .
Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace be upon him) said: "There is no blood money for an injury caused by an animal, if someone falls into a well there is no blood money for that, if someone is buried under a mine there is no blood money for that, and there is a fifth share in buried treasures."
Hadith 903
قَالَ عَوْفٌ: وَحَدَّثَنِي بِهِ مُحَمَّدٌ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَيْضًا، وَحَدَّثَنِي غَيْرُ مُحَمَّدٍ كُلُّهُمْ يَرْفَعُهَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: (similar to the previous hadith).
