Disputes among partners regarding the width of the path explained
Hadith 894
أَخْبَرَنَا الْمُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ خَالِدًا الْحَذَّاءَ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ رَجُلٍ، مِنْ آلِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((إِذَا اخْتَلَفَ النَّاسُ فِي الطَّرِيقِ فَاجْعَلُوهُ عَلَى سَبْعَةِ أَذْرُعٍ)) .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When people disagree about the path, then fix it at seven handspans."
Hadith 895
أَخْبَرَنَا الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ، نا وُهَيْبٌ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ، عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((إِذَا اخْتَلَفَ النَّاسُ فِي الطَّرِيقِ فَاجْعَلُوهُ عَلَى سَبْعَةِ أَذْرُعٍ)) .
