Hadith 875
Lady Fatimah bint Qais (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) once sat on the pulpit, smiling, and said: "Tamim al-Dari (may Allah be pleased with him) has told me something which has made me happy, so I liked to tell you as well, so that you may also be pleased with what your Prophet is pleased with. He told me that some people from Palestine boarded a ship in the sea, and it carried them to one of the sea islands and landed them there. There, they saw an animal whose clothing was made of hair. They said: 'Who are you?' It said: 'I am Jassasah.' They said: 'Tell us about something.' It said: 'I will not tell you anything nor ask you anything, but go to the farthest edge of this settlement, there is someone there who will tell you and ask you.' We reached the farthest edge of the settlement and there was a man bound in chains. He said: 'Tell me about the spring of Zughar.' We said: 'It is full and gushing.' He said: 'Tell me about the Lake of Tiberias.' We said: 'It is full and gushing.' He said: 'Tell me about the date palms of Baisan, which is between Palestine and Jordan, are they bearing fruit?' We said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Tell me about this unlettered Arab Prophet, has he appeared among you?' We said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Are people entering Islam?' We said: 'Rapidly.' He jumped so forcefully that he was about to break his chains. We said: 'Who are you?' He said: 'I am the Dajjal. He will enter all cities except Tayyibah.'" The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This is Tayyibah." He said it three times, meaning Madinah Munawwarah.

Lady Fatimah bint Qais (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came one day at noon, and this was a time when he would not usually come. He sat on the pulpit and said: "O people! I have not stood here at this time to give you any encouragement or warning, but Tamim Dari came to me and told me such news that, out of happiness and coolness of my eyes, I could not even take my midday nap. I wanted to convey to you the happiness of your Prophet. He came to me and told me that some of his cousins undertook a sea journey, a storm overtook them, and brought them to an unknown island. They traveled in small boats and reached the shore. There, they saw a creature with large eyelashes, thick hair, and dark skin. They did not know whether it was a man or a woman. They said to it: Who are you? It said: I am Jassasah. They said to it: Will you not tell us about something? It said: I will neither tell you about anything nor ask you, but in that temple near which you are, there is someone who is eager to tell you something and ask you something (so go there). They went to the temple and saw there a being who was tightly bound. He appeared very distressed and was sighing deeply. They greeted him, and he replied to their greeting. Then he said to them: Where are you from? We said: From Syria. He said: What is the condition of the Arabs? Has their Prophet appeared? They said: Yes. He said: What is his condition? Did his people oppose him, and Allah granted him victory over them? They said: Yes. He said: Are the Arabs now in such a state that their God is one, and their word is one? They said: Yes. He said: That is better for them. He said: What is the condition of the date orchards between Oman and Baisan? They said: They are fine and bear fruit every year. He said: What is the condition of the spring of Zughar? They said: It is fine; the people there drink from it themselves and irrigate their fields and orchards from it. He said: What is the condition of the Lake of Tiberias? They said: It is full, overflowing from both banks due to the abundance of water. He sighed deeply, then swore and said: If I am released from this captivity, I will trample the whole earth under my feet. Then he sighed deeply and said: Except for Taybah (Madina Munawwarah), I will have no power over it." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Hearing this, my happiness knew no bounds. This is Taybah. By the One in whose hand is my soul! This is Taybah. Allah has made my sanctuary forbidden to the Dajjal." Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) swore: "Until the Day of Resurrection, an angel with a drawn sword will stand guard; the Dajjal cannot enter it."

Shu’bi (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated: I met Al-Muharrar bin Abi Hurairah, so I narrated to him the narration of Fatimah bint Qais (may Allah be pleased with her). He said: I was with my father when he narrated this hadith to me exactly as Fatimah bint Qais (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated it to you; he did not omit a single letter from it. My father added one chapter to it; he said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) drew a line with his hand towards the east about twenty times.
