Description of Gog and Magog (Yajuj and Majuj)
Hadith 865
أَخْبَرَنَا الْمُؤَمَّلُ، نا وُهَيْبٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((فُتِحَ الْيَوْمَ مِنْ رَدْمِ يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ هَكَذَا)) وَعَقَدَ الْمُؤَمَّلُ بِيَدِهِ عَشْرًا.
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace be upon him) said: "Today, a hole has been made in the barrier of Gog and Magog like this." The narrator, Mumil, made a circle of ten with his hand.
Hadith 866
أَخْبَرَنَا الْمُؤَمَّلُ، نا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ الصَّوَّافِ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنِ الْعَبْدِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: ((إِنِّي لَأَعْلَمُ فِتْنَةً تَكُونُ وَلَا أَعْلَمُ الْمَخْرَجَ مِنْهَا)) ، قَالَ: فَقِيلَ لَهُ: مَا الْمَخْرَجُ؟ فَقَالَ: ((أُمْسِكُ بِيَدِي هَكَذَا حَتَّى يَأْتِيَنِي رَجُلٌ فَيَقْتُلَنِي)).
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: I know about a forthcoming tribulation, but I do not know the way out of it. He was asked: What is the way out of it? He replied: That I be held with my hand in this manner until a man comes to me and kills me.
