Description of the Beast of the Earth
Hadith 863
أَخْبَرَنَا النَّضْرُ، نا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، نا عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، نا أَوْسُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " تَخْرُجُ الدَّابَّةُ مَعَهَا عَصَا مُوسَى وَخَاتَمُ سُلَيْمَانَ فَتَجْلُو وَجْهَ الْمُؤْمِنِ بِالْعَصَا وَتَخْتِمُ أَنْفَ الْكَافِرِ بِالْخَاتَمِ، وَإِنَّ النَّاسَ لَيَجْتَمِعُونَ عَلَى الْخُوَانِ فَيَقُولُ: هَذَا يَا مُؤْمِنُ، وَيَقُولُ: هَذَا يَا كَافِرُ ".
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace be upon him) said: "The Beast of the Earth will emerge, with it will be the staff of Musa (peace be upon him) and the ring of Sulaiman (peace be upon him). With the staff, the face of the believer will be illuminated, and with the ring, the nose of the disbeliever will be sealed. People will gather at the dining spread, and it (the Beast) will say: This is a believer, and it will say: This is a disbeliever."
