Hadith 838
أَخْبَرَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ آدَمَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: الْأَنْبِيَاءُ إِخْوَةٌ لِعِلَّاتٍ وَأُمَّهَاتُهُمْ شَتَّى، وَأَنَا أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِعِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ؛ لَأَنَّهُ لَيْسَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُ نَبِيٌّ، وَإِنَّهُ نَازِلٌ فَاعْرِفُوهُ فَإِنَّهُ رَجُلٌ مَرْبُوعٌ إِلَى الْحُمْرَةِ وَالْبَيَاضِ، كَأَنَّ رَأْسَهُ يَقْطُرُ وَإِنْ لَمْ يُصِبْهُ بَلَلٌ، وَإِنَّهُ يَدُقُّ الصَّلِيبَ وَيَقْتُلُ الْخِنْزِيرَ وَيَفِيضُ الْمَالُ وَيَضَعُ الْجِزْيَةَ، وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ يُهْلِكُ فِي زَمَانِهِ الْمِلَلَ كُلَّهَا غَيْرَ الْإِسْلَامِ، وَيُهْلِكُ اللَّهُ الْمَسِيحَ الْأَعْوَرَ الْكَذَّابَ، وَيُلْقِي اللَّهُ الْأُمَّةَ حَتَّى يُرْعَى الْأُسُودُ مَعَ الْإِبِلِ، وَالنَّمِرُ مَعَ الْبَقَرِ، وَالذِّئِابُ مَعَ الْغَنَمِ، وَيَلْعَبَ الصَّبْيَانُ بِالْحَيَّاتِ، لَا يَضُرُّ بَعْضُهُمْ بَعْضًا.
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace be upon him) said: "The Prophets (peace be upon them) are paternal brothers; their mothers are different. I am the most deserving of ‘Isa ibn Maryam (peace be upon him), because there is no prophet between me and him. He will descend, so recognize him: he will be of medium height and of a reddish-white complexion, drops will be falling from his head even though water has not touched it. He will break the cross, kill the pig, take possession of wealth and abolish the jizya. Allah will destroy all religions except Islam during his time. Allah will destroy the one-eyed false messiah. Allah will fill the earth with peace so that lions will graze with camels, leopards with cows, and wolves with sheep; children will play with snakes, and they will not harm one another."
Hadith 839
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَحْوَهُ وَنَقَصَ مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ.
Qatadah narrated from a man, from the chain of Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), a narration similar to this, but he narrated somewhat less than it.
