Hadith 833
أَخْبَرَنَا قَبِيصَةُ بْنُ عُقْبَةَ، نا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: كَانَتْ أُمُّ أَيْمَنَ جَارِيَةً لِأُمِّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَكَانَتْ إِذَا دَخَلَتْ قَالَتْ: السَّلَامُ لَا عَلَيْكُمُ، فَرَخَّصَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ تَقُولَ: ((السَّلَامُ)) .
Ja'far bin Muhammad narrated from his father, he said: Umm Ayman (may Allah be pleased with her) was the slave woman of the mother of the Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) son Ibrahim. So when she would come, she would say: «السلام لاعليكم», so the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) granted her permission to say only «السلام».
