Lying is allowed to reconcile between two Muslims
Hadith 807
أَخْبَرَنَا النَّضْرُ، نا صَالِحٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ أُمِّ كُلْثُومٍ بِنْتِ عُقْبَةَ أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: ((لَيْسَ بِالْكَاذِبِ مَنْ أَصْلَحَ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ فَقَالَ خَيْرًا أَوْ نَمَا خَيْرًا)).
Narrated from Sayyida Umm Kulthum bint Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with her): She heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "He is not a liar who reconciles between people, conveying good or saying good things."
Hadith 808
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، نا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، وَابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَيْضًا، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ، وَهِيَ أُمِّ كُلْثُومٍ بِنْتِ عُقْبَةَ وَكَانَتْ مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرَاتِ الْأَوَّلِ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((لَيْسَ بِالْكَاذِبِ مَنْ أَصْلَحَ بَيْنَ اثْنَيْنِ فَقَالَ أَخِيرًا أَوْ نَمَا خَيْرًا)).
Sayyidah Umm Kulthum bint Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he said: "He is not a liar who reconciles between two people, he speaks good or conveys good."
