Virtue of compassion
Hadith 789
وَبِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَيَضَعُ رَحْمَتَهُ عَلَى كُلِّ رَحِيمٍ)) ، فَقَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كُلُّنَا يَرْحَمُ نَفْسَهُ، فَقَالَ: ((لَيْسَ يَرْحَمُ أَحَدُكُمْ نَفْسَهُ خَاصَّةً حَتَّى يَرْحَمَ النَّاسَ)).
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Abusing a Muslim is wickedness and killing him is disbelief."
