Burying more than one person in a single grave explained
Hadith 738
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَیُّوبَ الضَّبِّیُّ، عَنْ أَبِی حَمْزَةَ السُّکَّرِیِّ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ ثَابِتِ بْنِ عُبَیْدٍ، عَنْ جَمِیلَةَ ابْنَةِ سَعْدِ بْنِ رَبِیعٍ قَالَتْ: قُتِلَ أَبِی وَعَمِّی یَوْمَ أُحُدٍ، فَدُفِنَا فِی قَبْرٍ وَاحِدٍ، وَمَا أَخَذْتُ مِنْ مِیرَاثِهِمَا شَیْئًا، أَخَذَتْهُ الْحُلَفَاء .
Sayyida Jameela bint Sa'd bin Rabi' (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated: My father and my uncle were martyred in the Battle of Uhud. I did not receive anything from their inheritance; the allies took it.
