Description of eating lizard (dabb)
Hadith 730
أَخْبَرَنَا النَّضْرُ، نا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، نا أَبُو الْمُهَزِّمِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأُتِيَ سَبْعَةَ أَضْبُبٍ فِي حِقْبَةٍ قَدْ صَبَّ عَلَيْهَا سَمْنًا، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ((إِنِّي أَعَافُهَا فَكُلُوهَا)).
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): Seven mastigures were presented to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in a vessel, and ghee was poured over them. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I abstain from it, so you eat it."
