Emphasis on eating and drinking with the right hand
Hadith 728
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((إِذَا أَكَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَأْكُلْ بِيَمِينِهِ وَيَشْرَبْ بِيَمِينِهِ، فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَأْكُلُ بِشِمَالِهِ وَيَشْرَبُ بِشِمَالِهِ)) .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, that he said: "When any of you eats, let him eat with his right hand and drink with his right hand, for indeed Satan eats with his left and drinks with his left."
Hadith 729
أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا بَكْرِ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، يُخْبِرُ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ.
Abu Bakr bin Abdullah bin Umar narrates from Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, from the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, a narration similar to the previous hadith.
