A disbeliever eats with seven intestines, a believer with one
Hadith 721
أَخْبَرَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، نا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: أَسْلَمَ رَجُلٌ وَكَانَ يَأْكُلُ أكْلَا كَثِيرَا، فَلَمَّا أَسْلَمَ جَعَلَ يَأْكُلُ أكْلَا قَلِيلَا، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ((إِنَّ الْكَافِرَ يَأْكُلُ فِي سَبْعَةِ أَمْعَاءٍ، وَإِنَّ الْمُؤْمِنَ يَأْكُلُ فِي مِعَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ)) .
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: A man accepted Islam while he used to eat excessively. When he accepted Islam, he began to eat less. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A disbeliever eats with seven intestines, whereas a believer eats with one intestine."
Hadith 722
أَخْبَرَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ، نا شُعْبَةُ، نا عَدِيٌّ وَهُوَ ابْنُ ثَابِتٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا حَازِمٍ، يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((الْكَافِرُ يَأْكُلُ فِي سَبْعَةِ أَمْعَاءٍ وَالْمُؤْمِنُ يَأْكُلُ فِي مِعَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ)) .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace be upon him) said: "The disbeliever eats in seven intestines, whereas the believer eats in one intestine."
