Women's garments should be below the ankles
Hadith 710
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ، نا حَبِيبُ بْنُ الشَّهِيدِ، نا يَزِيدُ أَبُو الْمُهَزَّمِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي ذُيُولِ النِّسَاءِ شِبْرًا. قُلْتُ: إِذًا يَخْرُجُ سُوقُهُنَّ. قَالَ: فَذِرَاعٌ.
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said regarding the hem of women’s garments: “One span.” I said: Then their shins will become exposed. He (peace be upon him) said: “Then one hand (is sufficient).”
